The pool is scheduled to open FRIDAY, MARCH 6, and that means that summer swim season is just around the corner. We are excited to welcome back all of our returning Tiger Shark families and meet new families, too! Below is some information to help you begin planning.

Registration Fees and Dates 

Registration will open Wednesday, April 1! This year registration fees will be:

• First Swimmer: $150
• Each Additional Swimmer: $125

Each swimmer's registration fee includes a 2026 team shirt and swim cap. Additional shirts and caps may be ordered at the time of registration or purchased later through our team store. Prices will be as follows:

• Extra Team Shirts: $20
• Extra Team Swim Caps: $15

Parent Meeting & Suit Swap 

We will host a meeting for returning and new Tiger Shark parents Friday, May 1 at 6:00 PM at the Lookout Canyon Pavilion. During this meeting we will review the team schedule, volunteer requirements, and answer questions. 

For this meeting we also encourage you to bring any lightly used, clean swimsuits that no longer fit your swimmer for our Suit Swap! Clean out suits that no longer fit and pick up new-to-you suits in the size you need for this year. 

Discounts For Judges, Referees and Starters 

We are looking for dedicated parents to volunteer as Stroke and Turn Judges and Starters for the 2026 season in exchange for $75 off your swimmer's registration fees!

• Stroke and Turn Judges stand poolside during meets and watch for stroke infractions.
• Referees and Starters ensure fairness for all swimmers. They start each event and review disqualifications submitted by judges. To serve as a referee or starter you should have at least 1 year of prior judging experience.

New volunteers in these positions are required to attend a 2-hour training with Maverick Summer Swim League in mid-May. Returning judges, referees and starters must attend a 1-hour refresher course. Judges and starters will be expected to work home meets and some away meets. 

No additional volunteer points are needed if you are a judge or starter. 

Practice Start Date and May Schedule 

Practice will start Tuesday, May 5 and follow the schedule below:

Tiger Sharks practice at the Lookout Canyon Pool Tuesdays - Thursdays at the following times:

• Ages 6 & under — 5:00-5:30pm
• Ages 7-8 — 5:30-6:00pm
• Ages 9-10 — 6:00-6:30pm
• Ages 11+ — 6:30-7:00pm

Team Suits 

Our MSSL league sponsor, Swim Freak, will be at the pool on Tuesday, May 12 during your swimmer's scheduled practice time for team suit fittings. 

If your swimmer needs a new swimsuit this season, you may purchase the 2026 Team Suit in person that day, you may order online, or you can go to one their locations. The nearest location to us is:

Our 2026 team suit will be the Speedo Endurance + Fly Back in black and orange for girls ($56) and the Endurance + Jammers ($44) in black for boys. Please note that this pricing reflects our Maverick Summer Swim League discounted price through Swim Freak. 

Meet Schedule 

The 2026 meet schedule is not yet available. Like last year, we expect meets to take place between May 30 and June 27. As soon as MSSL has finalized the schedule we will post it on our website and share it with families. 

Team Sponsors 

The Lookout Canyon Tiger Sharks are proud to operate as a community-focused, nonprofit sports team. Our mission is centered on fostering teamwork, athletic development, and a love for the sport in our local youth.

While we are a nonprofit organization, please be advised that we do not currently hold 501(c)(3) status. Therefore, donations and sponsorships are not tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our sponsors, which allows us to provide equipment, coaching, and a high-quality experience for all our swimmers and we are looking for 2026 team sponsors! Sponsor donations are essential to our success as a team. We use these funds to help us to pay for:

• Team equipment such as new kickboards, backstroke flags, lane lines, and more!
• End-of-year party food and awards
• Coaches stipends

• White - $100
• Black - $250
• Orange - $500

Each sponsor will have signs posted during home meets with your logo and QR code to your business site and included on home meet heat sheets, will receive a thank you announcement at the start of home meets, and will have your name featured on the back of our 2026 team shirts.
