Important Info: Division Championship Meet - Saturday, June 27th!

The big day is almost here! Our Maverick Summer Swim League Division 3 Championship Meet is coming up on Saturday, June 27th. It’s going to be an exciting meet, and you aren't going to want to miss it!
Please review this important information regarding the meet schedule, venue rules, and logistics.
Meet Location & Parking
Venue: Southwest ISD Aquatic Center
Address: 9290 SW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78242
Parking: The front lot is small and has handicap parking. Most families will need to park behind the natatorium in the Christa McAuliffe Middle School parking lots.
Arrival Times & Schedule
1:00 PM – Team seating setup begins. Coaches, judges, and volunteers will begin entering the natatorium. Swimmers can begin checking in at our assigned area on the hill behind the natatorium. Please do not arrive before this time.
1:30 PM – Parents and spectators are allowed through the front doors. (Please note: SWISD security will check everyone upon entry).
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM – Lookout Canyon Warm-Ups! All swimmers will warm up in Lanes 1–4 of the Older Pool.
3:00 PM – The meet officially begins! It is expected to conclude around 6:30 PM.
Volunteer Roles Needed
We cannot run this meet without our amazing volunteers! Volunteer positions are assigned by the league and must be filled. If you sign up, you must work the entire meet. There will be no shift change. Parents should sign up to work the pool where all or most of their swimmers are competing.
Volunteer sign-up will open Tuesday, June 16 at 7:00 PM in Swimtopia.
We will need to fill the following positions:
Older Pool (Ages 11 & up):
4 Lane Timers (2 each for lanes 2 & 3)
1 Scorekeeper (To assist the head scorekeeper in the Older Pool Booth with printing, posting, etc.)
Younger Pool (Ages 10 & under):
9 Lane Timers (3 each for lanes 2, 3 & 4)
3 Lane Line-up Volunteers (1 each for lanes 2–4)
General Assignments:
2 Awards Volunteers (Start around event 15; sporadic work, but must stay after the meet until all award ribbon labels are affixed).
3 Clean-up Team Members (Help clean the pool and spectator areas; work begins when the free relays start at event #61 and goes until the job is done).
Important Venue & Safety Rules
The Southwest ISD Aquatic Center has strict guidelines we must follow:
Clear Bag Policy: A clear bag policy is strictly enforced.
Prohibited Items: No glass or ceramic containers, no gum, and no animals are allowed at the pool.
Stroller & Wagon Restriction: Due to limited space and very steep stairs, no wagons or strollers are allowed.
Swimmer Seating: Swimmers must remain in the assigned outdoor team area on the hill. We will have tents for shade, but please send towels or blankets for the kids to sit on. Swimmers are not allowed on the elevators or in the indoor spectator seating area, as wet swimsuits make the stairs slippery.
Tracking Times & Results
For Younger Swimmers (Ages 4–10): There is no scoreboard display at the younger pool. Times will be tracked via the Dolphin timing system, and parents will need to use the SwimTopia Mobile App on their phones to view their swimmer's times.
Official Results: Will be posted on a designated wall inside the natatorium.
Food & Shopping
Concessions: There are no on-site SWISD concessions. The league has not yet determined if food truck will be on site. Please plan to pack appropriate snacks.
Swim Gear: Swim Freak will be set up in the natatorium lobby selling swim items.
