Keep reading for important reminders for Meet Day!
Arrive on time. Please arrive no later than 7:30 AM. This will allow you time to park, set-up, and check-in before warm-ups. Tiger Sharks will warm up in the pool at 8:00 AM. Meet will begin at 8:45 AM.
Park and set up in designated areas. Mountain lodge has set aside space in the pavilion area for Tiger Sharks set-up. Additional space is located near the parking lot/entry gate for tent set-up. Parking in the pool lot is limited. If it is full when you arrive, you will need to park on the street. Be mindful to avoid blocking access to the pool area, driveways, fire hydrants, stop signs, mail boxes and recycle bins.
Print your heat sheets before the meet. If you would like a printed copy of the heat sheet to reference during the meet, you will need to print it yourself before arriving at the pool. Copies will not be available for general distribution. Also attached this week is an EASY TO READ entry report that lists swimmers in alphabetical order with assigned events.
Download the Swimtopia App. The app is available for free for iPhones or Androids. If you would like online heat sheets and live meet updates, you can sign-up for the pro version for $5.99/month. Hot Tip: If you want to pay for Swimtopia Pro, wait until Saturday morning to sign-up. You get a 7-day free trial, plus 1 month for $5.99 and that should get you through the entire summer swim season. Cancel it as soon as the season is over and avoid paying for a second month.
Mark your swimmers arms. Learn how to mark your swimmer's armfor meet day. Please make sure that your swimmer is marked BEFORE warm-ups. Sunscreen will cause the marker to smear. I recommend that you mark your swimmer’s arm the night before the meet to help prevent it from coming off with sunscreen.
Check in upon arrival. All swimmers and volunteers need to check in upon arrival. Michelle Russell will be under the pavilion with swimmer check-in lists. Swimmers that fail to check-in may be scratched from events. Volunteer check-in will be located at the scorekeeper table. All volunteers must check in to receive points for their shift(s).
