TEAM SHIRTS

MEET VOLUNTEERS
We are still short 7 lane timers for the 2nd half of the meet. We depend on volunteers, so if your family is attending this Saturday and you are not signed up for a shift, please sign up! Timing is a great opportunity to have a front row view of the action, and is easy to learn even if this is your first meet!
MEET INFORMATION
Time: Check in by 7:15 AM. Meet starts at 8:30 AM.
Location: The Oaks at Sonterra Pool @ 19645 Battle Oak San Antonio, TX 78258
Gate Information: Please enter at the West Gate (across from the apartments). A security guard will be posted from 6:30 AM - 10:00 AM to allow for guest swim team entrance.
Parking: There is a small parking lot near the pool. If this is full when you arrive, please find parking on the street. Be mindful to avoid blocking access to the pool area, driveways, fire hydrants, stop signs, mail boxes and recycle bins.
Set-Up: Space is available to the LEFT of the pool for visiting team set-up. You may bring your own shade/EZ-Up Tent, lawn chairs, coolers, etc.
Events: Prior to the meet, we will email the heat sheet to all parents. This is how you will know what event, heat, and lane your swimmer will be in. This information will also be available the day of the meet in Swimtopia. Coaches make all event and relay assignments based on the skills of the swimmers. Changes cannot be made the day of the event.
Before the meet: Getting organized for a swim meet is essential to having a successful day of swimming. To get ready, check out these helpful resources:
- Learn how to read a heat sheet so that you know your swimmer's event numbers, heats, and lane assignments.
- Download the Swimtopia app for iPhones or Androids
- Learn how to mark your swimmer's arm for meet day. Please make sure that your swimmer is marked BEFORE warm-ups, and sunscreen will cause the marker to smear. You CAN mark your swimmer’s arm the night before the meet to help prevent it from coming off with sunscreen.
What to bring: Swimmers need to be prepared with the following items:
- Swim cap, team suit, team t-shirt- Please note that swimmers are NOT allowed to wear a suit or cap representing another team. This means no high school, AAAA, or past team logos may be displayed.
- 2 pairs of Goggles (properly adjusted and previously worn swimming)
- Beach towel
- Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat (if desired)
- Books, cards, games, etc. for entertainment between events. Please do not bring valuable items.
- Drinks: water bottle (other drinks sold at concession stand)
