Good evening, Tiger Shark families! 

We are blow away by how awesome evals went today and are SO hyped for this season! We are sitting at 129 registered swimmers, with a handful of newbies being added over the next week! This will be our largest team size to date and we can't WAIT to see what our Tiger Sharks can do in the water! 

I know today was probably VERY overwhelming and chaotic, especially for our new families and Tiger Shark swimmers, but rest assured, it will be much smoother after we work through all the excitement and work out all the kinks! We just ask for your patience as our swimmers safety will always be our top priority! 

A few things...
1) We spoke to several of you that have concerns about how your swimmer did and we would really like the opportunity to get to know them as swimmers before a decision is made about whether or not they can be on the team. We are not in the business of turning swimmers away and our goal is not to get 1st place in everything, but to introduce, encourage, and develop a love for the sport of swimming while instilling the values of good sportsmanship, hard work and community! If after next Thursday, May 11th, your swimmer is still not gelling, the coaches will have a conversation with you! 

2) If you have a swimmer that cannot make their designated age group practice time due to other commitments and/or the time doesn't work for your families schedule, they are welcome to attend a practice time that is either 1 age group above or 1 age group below their age. For instance, we do not want a 5-6 year old coming to the 9-10 or 11+ practice but they can attend with the 7-8 year olds! We just ask that you try your best to keep it consistent and not have them attend a different practice time every day! 

3) Team suit fittings are scheduled for this Thursday, May 4th from 5:00-7:00pm at the pool! Swimmers can attend their practice times and get fitted before or after! If your swimmer can't come to practice and you're able to make it at all during the 2 hour window, please do! If you can't make it, you will need to order online or in store at Swim Freak! 4) If you have not already, please download the Remind App and join our Remind Group! It will always be my 1st mode of communication! Click the link below for the Remind Group info:

5) All swim caps will be distributed at practices starting on Tuesday, May 16th! Every swimmer gets ONE team swim cap with their registration fees and if you need to purchase an additional one, you can do so for $13!

6) Each swimmer will also receive ONE team t-shirt with their registration fees! I know when you went to register your swimmer, you were only given an option to enter one t-shirt size! Sorry about that! Please click the link below to enter ALL of your swimmers t-shirt sizes! Make sure you enter your swimmers that we already have as well, because this is the only list we will be working off of!

7) We will NOT be holding practice on Thursday, May 18th, as our coaches have to attend a mandatory clinic! We will only have practice on Tuesday, May 16th and Wednesday, May 17th of that week! 

I know today was a whirlwind and the above is a lot of information! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! My Tiger Shark board members and I all work full time so we may not always be able to answer questions right away, but please know, we will do our best to get back to you in a timely manner!
